I started feeding the BARF diet ( Biologically Appropriate Raw Food, or Bones and Raw Food) when I was at my wits end with my precious Penny. She was having seizures, she had a grade 2 heart murmur and the vets had made it quite clear the pneumonia and the hefty doses of medication as a pup had severely affected her life expectancy and long-term health prognosis. My mother had started feeding the BARF diet to her Yorkshire Terrier and was thrilled with the results, so I decided to research dog food, and the affect it has on your dogs health. Our dogs are fed only a holistic diet of human grade meats, fruits and vegetables. They are all given salmon oil for healthy skin and coat, and pro-biotics and plant enzymes to aid in digestion and proper absorption. I believe the first step to a happy, healthy dog is proper nutrition, and because I want what's best for my four legged family, I take this very seriously!!!!
